gullhavre
Trisetum flavescens
306 Trisetum flavescens (L.) Beauv.
This polymorphic species is mainly restricted to Europe. In Fl. Eur. 5/1980, p. 223 it is divided into three subspecies, of which subsp. flavescens occurs in most of the European range. It has been introduced into N. America (more than the map shows) and New Zealand. The closely related T. alpestre (Host) Beauv. is restricted to the Carpathians and the E. and S. Alps (not mapped). Cf., however, Meusel et al. 1965, map p. 47. The E. Asiatic T. bifidum (Thunb.) Ohwi is tentatively mapped.
