Ranunculus pedatifidus
852 Ranunculus pedatifidus J. E. Smith
This widespread species consists of several apomictic types. At least two subspecies may be distinguished, viz. subsp. pedatifidus in the C. Asiatic mountain areas and subsp. affinis (R. Br.) Hult. (syn.: R. arcticus Richards.) in Siberia and N. America. It may be queried whether R. auricomus var. glabratus Lynge on E. Greenland, in N. Scandinavia and N. Russia should not be referred to this species s. lat. (Hultén, Amphi-atl., p. 30 and map 11). Subsp. affinis belongs to the circumpolar plants (Hultén, Circumpol. Il, p. 324 and map 48).
