1752 Campanula glomerata L.

This polymorphic species is widely distributed mainly in Eurasia. Fl. Eur. 4/1976, p. 85 f. distinguishes, besides subsp. glomerata throughout the range of the species, six subspecies, each with a rather specific distribution area. Since it has an easterly distributional tendency, the species may be indigenous in Finland but probably not in the rest of Fennoscandia, where it has escaped from gardens. The E. Asiatic population is distinguished as var. dahurica Fisch. The species has been introduced into N. America.
