Puccinellia maritima (Huds.) Parl.

Syn.: Atropis maritima (Huds.) Griseb.

This species is restricted to the coasts of N., W. and S. Europe. However, Fl. Eur. 5/1980, p. 168 states: "All records from the Mediterranean region require confirmation'.' The species also occurs, possibly as a native plant, in eastern N. America (introduced onto Vancouver I.?) and on Greenland. Should that be the case, it may be considered as an amphi-atlantic plant.
