1855 Arctium vulgare (Hill) Evans

Syn.: A. nemorosum Lej., Lappa vulgaris Hill

This species is mainly restricted to Europe. It is an adventive in several places. It has been sparsely introduced into southeastern N. America. The map is probably incomplete as to C. and E. Europe.
