Syn.: C. kattegatensis Fr., C. recta auct.

This polymorphic sea-shore species belongs to the C. paleacea group (cf. no. 468). It has an amphi-atlantic distribution (Hultén, Amphi-atl., p. 282 and map 264). Because of difficulties of identification the distribution of the species is partly uncertain (Iceland?).
