1900 Hieracium, the group Alpina genuina Elfstr.

This large arctic-montane group of species (agamotaxa) has a disjunct distribution in Europe. It also occurs on Greenland. Thus the group belongs to the amphi-atlantic plants (Hultén, Amphi-atl., p. 90 and map 71).
