The map shows the distribution of this Eurasiatic species, which is of a hybrid nature (triploid), together with the eastern species S. burjatica Nas. which Skvortsov (Willows USSR 1968, p. 196ff.) includes in S. dasyclados. Cf. also Atlas Fl. Eur. 3/1976, p. 43 and map 253. The mapping is tentative. The species is cultivated in other parts of Europe.
