32 Cryptogramma crispa (L.) R. Br.

This polymorphic species occurs in Eurasia and N. America (a doubtful occurrence in Chile). Several lower taxa are distinguished, which have separate distribution areas. Besides C. crispa s. str. in Europe four taxa in Asia and N. America are mapped. The species s. lat. belongs to the amphi-atlantic plants (Hultén, Amphi-atl., p. 244 and map 225), although the tendency towards circumpolar distribution is evident.
