1721 Utricularia australis R. Br.

Syn.: U. neglecta Lehm.

This species occurs, as far as is known, mainly in Europe. This species and U vulgaris are sometimes confused. The map may therefore be incomplete and partly incorrect. This plant is reported to have been introduced into C. and S. Africa, Australia and New Zealand. Cf. world map in Meusel et al. 1978, p. 417.
