1353 Circaea alpina L.

This boreal-montane species is widely distributed in Eurasia and N. America. Same lower taxa are distinguished in Asia and N. America (cf. Hultén, Circumpol. Il, p. 344), int. al. subsp. imaicola (Aschers. & Magn.) Kitamura in the Himalayas and the Chinese mountains. The species s. lat. belongs to the circumpolar plants (op. cit., p. 344f. and map 86).
