1790 Helichrysum arenarium (L.) Moench

Syn.: Gnaphalium arenarium L.

This species occurs in C. and E. Europe and adjacent parts of Asia. It has been favoured by the clearing of dry, sandy ground. It is more markedly adventive in outlying localities. It has become less frequent in parts of the range. Thus it is reported as extinct in Estonia.
