1785 Gnaphalium luteo-album L.

This species occurs originally in Europe (except N and E) and adjacent parts of Africa and Asia. It has spread northwards to waste, sandy places but is now locally extinct. It has also been introduced into distant parts of the world. The closely related C. affine D. Don in S. C. and E. Asia is tentatively mapped.
