1622 Solanum nigrum L. complex

The map shows the range of the whole complex of S. nigrum taxa. The species s. str. is considered to originate from S. and C. Europe. For further taxonomic and geographic information, see Hultén, Circumpol. Il, p. 266, 393. The species s. lat. (incl. S. americanum Mill.) is almost cosmopolitan (see the notes on the map). In N.
