1211 Lathyrus vernus (L.) Bernh.

This species occurs in large parts of Europe and W. Asia. The southern counterpart L. venetus (Mill.) Rouy & Fouc. and the closely related L. alatus (Max.) Kom. (syn.: L. vernus subsp. alatus [Max.] Reg.) in E. Asia is also mapped, tentatively. Cf. also Meusel et al. 1965, map p. 251.
