1665 Castilleja pallida (L.) Spreng.

Two subspecies are distinguished within this Eurasiatic species, viz. subsp. arctica (Kryl. & Serg.) Hult. In the arctic NE. Europe and subsp. pallida in parts of W. and C. Asia. There are other closely related taxa in N. and E. Siberia and in N. America.
