Pinguicula vulgaris
1717 Pinguicula vulgaris L.
This widespread species is recorded among the amphi-atlantic plants by Hultén, (Amphi-atl., p. 230 and map 211). However, it has a tendency towards circumpolar distribution, although there are some, probably real, gaps in Siberia. The occurrence is on the whole rather uneven. In the Pacific region of E. Asia and N. America subsp. macroceras (Link) Cald. & Tayl. occurs, partly within the area of subsp. vulgaris. Cf. also Meusel et al. 1978, map p. 416.
