970 Neslia paniculata (L.) Desv.

Syn.: Vogelia paniculata (L.) Horn.

This species includes two taxa, viz. subsp. paniculata originating from C. Europe and W. Asia and nowadays widely spread as a weed, being almost circumpolar (Hultén, Circumpol. Il, p. 272 and map 263), and subsp. apiculata Fisch. & Mey.) Ave-Lall, occurring mainly S of the broken line through C. and SE. Europe and eastwards. Cf. also Meusel et al. 1965, map p. 182.
