klippbräcka
Saxifraga adscendens
1023 Saxifraga adscendens L.
This species has a disjunct distribution in Europe and western N. America and is separated into subsp. adscendens (Eur.) and subsp. oregonensis (Raf.) Bacigalupi (N. Amer.). Thus, it may be considered a special type of the amphi-atlantic plants (Hultén, Amphi-atl., p. 248 and map 229). Within the range in Europe some closely related, taxonomically intricate species occur, viz. S. osloensis Knab. in C. Scandinavia (from the hybrid S. adscendens x tridactylites), S. parnassica (Boiss. & Heldr.) Hayek in S. Europe and S. blavii (Engl.) Hayek in Jugoslavia. Cf. also Meusel et al. 1965, map p. 201.
