1002 Crassula aquatica (L.) Schönl.

Syn.: Tillaea aquatica L.

This inconspicuous species has a wide, disjunct lowland distribution. It is reported among the amphi-atlantic plants by Hultén (Amphi-atl., p. 266 and map 248) but may also be classified as a discontinuous circumpolar species. The closely related C. vaillantii Roth in S. Europe and W. Asia reaches towards the north approximately to the broken line on the map. Cf. also Meusel et al. 1965, map p. 196.
