321 Calamagrostis canadensis (Michx) Nutt. complex

This complex includes some more or less well distinguished taxa, among others subsp. canadensis in N. America, subsp. langsdorffii (Link) Hult. in Eurasia (from NE. Russia eastwards), N. America and Greenland, and C. purpurea (Trin.) Trin. From Fennoscandia eastwards into W. Siberia. The complex is circumpolar (Hultén, Circumpol. I, p. 188 and map 177). Furthermore, the approximate range of the closely related C. canescens (Web.) Roth (no. 320) is marked on the map.
