1246 Trifolium medium L.

This polymorphic species (cf. Fl. Eur. 2/1968, p. 169f.) was originally restricted to Europe and adjacent parts of Asia. It is by no means as widely spread by man as T. pratense. However, it has been introduced into N. America, Tasmania and New Zealand. Cf. also Meusel et al. 1965, map p. 239.
