Syn.: Lotus siliquosus L.

This species is mainly restricted to C. Europe and adjacent areas towards N and E (probably introduced into England). There is a southern counterpart, T. purpureus Moench, occurring in the Mediterranean region (marked on the map). Cf. also Meusel et al. 1965, map p. 241.
