834 Pulsatilla pratensis (L.) Mill.

This European species includes subsp. nigricans (Störck) Zamels in C. and SE. Europe. The distribution of this subspecies does not seem to be sufficiently known. The closely related P. montana (Hoppe) Rchb., occurring in the Alps and eastwards, is also mapped. Cf. also Meusel et al. 1965, map p. 162.
