grönlandsgåsört
Argentina anserina subsp. groenlandica
1098 Potentilla egedii Wormskj.
This mainly arctic-subarctic sea-shore species includes the var. groenlandica (Tratt.) Polun. with a wide, disjunct distribution, var. grandis (Torr. & Gray) Hara (syn.: P. pacifica How.) on the Pacific shores and an arctic type with glabrous leaves, which probably has a more or less circumpolar distribution (cross signs). Finally, two inland species, closely related to P. egedii, are mapped, viz. P. yukonensis Hult. (syn.: Argentina subarctica Rydb.) in northwestern N. America and an Asiatic counterpart, for the present named P. sp. P. egedii and related taxa together show a circumpolar pattern (Hultén, Circumpol. Il, p. 250, 391 and map 242). Cf. also Meusel et al. 1965, map p. 218.
