1516 Galium saxatile L.

Syn.: G. hercynicum Weig.

This species mainly occurs in W. Europe. Towards the north in Fennoscandia, it occurs generally as an adventive. The species may be classified among the amphi-atlantic plants (Hultén, Amphi-atl., p. 152 and map 133), provided that it is native on New Foundland, which does not seem to be clearly established (op. cit.).
