322 Calamagrostis neglecta (Ehrh.) G., M. & Sch.

Syn.: C stricta (Timm) Koeler

This species s. lat. has a circumpolar distribution (Hultén, Circumpol. I, p. 72 and map 63). A northern ecotype (Greenland, Iceland, N. Fennoscandia and probably arctic Russia, Siberia and N. America) has been distinguished as subsp. borealis (Laest.) Hult. Its relation to C. holmii Lange (no. 323) seems to be uncertain. It has even been synonymized with this species (cf. Hultén, Fl. Alaska Neighbor. Terr., p. 107). Cf. also Meusel et al. 1965, map p. 49.
