383 Sparganium erectum subsp. erectum

Syn.: S. ramosum Huds. subsp. ramosum

This subspecies belongs to a group of taxa which together have an almost circumpolar distribution (incl. S. stoloniferum Hamilt. in E. and SE. Asia and S. eurycarpum Engelm. in N. America). Domin occurs on the whole more to the north on the British Isles and in N. Europe than subsp. erectum.
