1772 Erigeron borealis (Vierh.) Simm.

This arctic species belongs to the amphi-atlantic plants (Hultén, Amphi-atl., p. 86 and map 68) if the occurrence of the closely related E. alpiniformis Cronq. on Greenland is also taken into consideration. In the Alps the closely related E. neglectus A. Kern. occurs (mapped here).
