Mer information om arten

188 Juncus articulatus L.

Syn.: J. lampocarpus Ehrh.

This variable, widespread species occurs mainly in Europe and adjacent parts of Africa and Asia and in eastern N. America but sparsely also in C. and E. Asia and western N. America. Thus, it belongs to the circumpolar plants (Hultén, Circumpol. I, p. 220 and map 209). However, the species may be introduced into at least some of the scattered localities in E. Asia and western N. America (cf. Hultén, I. cit.). It is adventive for instance in S. Africa, Australia and New Zealand. Concerning the numerous lower taxa, see Hultén I. cit.
