1252 Anthyllis vulneraria L.

This polymorphic species is native in Europe and N. Africa. Fl. Eur. 2/1968, p. 179ff. reports 24 subspecies, each with rather distinct distribution. In outlying localities, at least, it is considered adventive. It has been introduced into N. America and New Zealand. Cf. also Meusel et al. 1965, map p. 240.
