1644 Veronica teucrium L.

This mainly European species belongs to a group of species or subspecies presented together as V. austriaca L. s. lat. in Fl. Eur. 3/1972, p. 245. It is adventive in Fennoscandia. In W. Asia the species meets the closely related V. krylovii Schischk. (mapped here).
