Dipsacus strigosus
1744 Dipsacus strigosus W illd.
This species originates mainly from SE. Europe and adjacent parts of Asia, from where it has been spread by man, for instance to Fennoscandia. It has been confused with D. pilosus L. (cf. A. Hansen in Bot. Not. [Lund] 115/1962, p. 106f.; Fl. Eur. 4/ 1976, p. 59). Therefore, the map includes localities of D. pilosus, for instance in W. Europe. Thus, the map should be revised.
