Deschampsia bottnica
337 Deschampsia bottnica (Wahlenb.) Trin. complex
This complex of closely related taxa occurs disjunctly in Eurasia and northwestern N. America. The European taxa, D. bottnica along the Bothnian and N. Baltic coasts, D. obensis Roshev. in N. Russia and Siberia and D. wibeliana (Sonder) Parl. (syn.: D. caespitosa subsp. paludosa [Schtibl. & Mart.] G. C. S. Clarke) on NW. German marshes, are considered as subspecies of D. caespitosa in Fl. Eur. 5/1980, p. 226. Furthermore, D. beringensis Hult. in the Pacific E. Asia and northwestern and western N. America and D. mackenzieana Raup in C. Canada are tentatively mapped. These taxa are also discussed by Hultén (Circumpol. I, p. 66).
