1626 Limosella aquatica L.

This polymorphic species is widely distributed in Eurasia and N. America. It is recorded among the amphi-atlantic plants (Hultén, Amphi-atl., p. 206 and map 187) but could rather be regarded as a circumpolar plant. The closely related L. subulata Ives in eastern N.
