1596 Leonurus marrubiastrum L.

This species probably originates from SE. Europe and W. Asia. From there it has spread towards the northwest, occurring sporadically up to S. Fennoscandia. It has been introduced into southeastern N. America. Cf. also Meusel et al. 1978, map p. 373.
