1755 Campanula persicifolia L.

This species occurs in most of Europe (except W and SW) and adjacent parts of Asia. It has been introduced into the British Isles and probably the Netherlands. The northernmost occurrences are adventive. It is sporadically cultivated in eastern N. America and may escape from gardens.
