Mer information om arten

1781 Antennaria alpina (L.) Gaertn. complex

This arctic-alpine species belongs to a complex of several closely related taxa, having together an almost circumpolar distribution. A. alpina occurs only in the Scandinavian mountains and somewhat eastwards on the arctic tundra. A. friesiana (Trautv.) El. Ekm. (syn.: A. ekmaniana A. E. Pors.) from E. Siberia across arctic N. America to W. Greenland, A. canescens (Lge) Malte in C. and E. Canada, Greenland and Iceland, A. vexillifera Fem. in E. Canada and A. media Greene in western N. America are all mapped. For the distribution in N. America of these and other Antennaria taxa, for instance A. boecheriana A. E. Pors. (sparsely within the range of A. canescens), see A. E. Porsild in Bot. Tidsskr. (Kobenh.) 61/1965.
