This originally European species has spread as a weed within the rural landscape, also northwards to Fennoscandia. It has been introduced into S. Africa, N. and S. America and New Zealand. The information as to the wide and probably uneven occurrence in N. America is too incomplete to allow details to be stated. On the whole the map is preliminary.
