1668 Melampyrum nemorosum L.

This rather variable species belongs to the continental element in the European flora. Locally it has escaped from cultivation. Further, two groups of closely related species, M. bihariense A. Kern. And M. velebiticum Borbas, are tentatively mapped. They occur in SE. and S. Europe, respectively. The approximate range of M. polonicum (Beauv.) Soé is also mapped.
