This C. and E. European species belongs to a complicated group of species (Fl. Eur. 2/1968, p. 41 f.), the distribution of which is incompletely known. P. collina s. str., P. wiemanniana Giinth. & Schum. (also, in Sweden) and a few other closely related taxa are presented together on the map.
