Syn.: Omalotheca supina (L.) DC.

This arctic-montane species has a disjunct distribution from northeastern N. America through Europe to the C. Asiatic mountains. It belongs to the amphiatlantic plants (Hultén, Amphi-atl., p. 118 and map 99).
