Within this polymorphic species no lower taxa are distinguished and mapped here. The species s. lat. occurs in most of Europe (excl. N. Fennoscandia and N. Russia) and adjacent parts of Africa and Asia. It has been introduced into S. Africa, N. and S. America and New Zealand.
