Sabulina stricta
717 Minuartia stricta (Sw.) Hiern
This rather polymorphic, arctic-montane species is widely distributed in Eurasia and N. America. Unfortunately, it does not seem possible to map separately the very closely related M. dawsonensis (Britt.) House (boreal areas of N. America) or other allied species (cf. Nannfeldt in Nytt Mag. Bot. 3/1954, p. 159 ff.). M. stricta belongs to the circumpolar plants (Hultén, Circumpol. Il, p. 32 and map 24). The occurrences of subsp. macra (Nels. & Macbr.) Maguire on the Queen Charlotte Islands are marked separately.
