172 Luzula multiflora (Retz.) Lej. subspp. multiflora and comosa (E. Mey.) Hult.

The map shows a few selected taxa of this polymorphic species., viz. subsp. multiflora in Europe and N. America (an amphi-atlantic plant) with var. acadiensis Fem. in eastern N. America, var. kjellmaniana (Kudo) Sam. and var. kobayasii (Satake) Hult., both in the Pacific E. Asiatic and NW. American region, and subsp. comosa (E. Mey.) Hult. at the coast and in the mountains of western N. America. The species (varying taxa) has been introduced for instance into S. America, Australia and New Zealand.
