Linaria vulgaris
1636 Linaria vulgaris Mill.
This originally Eurasiatic species, with subsp. vulgaris in mast of the range, has spread as a weed through human influence on the landscape. The Asiatic subsp. acutiloba (Fisch.) Hult. and L. melampyroides Kupr. (E. Asia) are mapped separately. The species has been introduced and partly naturalized in S. Africa, E. Asia, N. America, C. Chile and New Zealand. The present distribution is almast circumpolar (Hultén, Circumpal. Il, p. 401 and map 294). Cf. also Meusel et al. 1978, map p. 390.
