1754 Campanula patula L.

This species occurs in mast of Europe and possibly in westernmost Asia. It is considered to have invaded N. Europe during the last few centuries. Fl. Eur. 4/1976, p. 80 distinguishes, besides subsp. patula, three subspecies, each with a rather specific distribution area.
