1365 Epilobium palustre L.

This variable species is widely distributed in Eurasia and N. America. Several lower taxa are distinguished (cf. Hultén, Circumpol. II, p. 124). The N. American var. oliganthum (Michx) Fem. is tentatively mapped here. The species s. lat. belongs to the circumpolar plants (op. cit.). Cf. also Meusel et al. 1978, map p. 299.
