1814 Chrysanthemum segetum L.

This species probably originates from SE. Europe. From there it has spread with agriculture to mast of Europe (except NE) and adjacent parts of Africa and Asia. It has become less frequent in recent times. In the northernmost localities it occurs only casually. It has been introduced into C. and S. Africa, N. America and New Zealand.
