1732 Lonicera xylosteum L.

This species is mainly restricted to Europe and W. Asia. It is not native in several of the localities on the British Isles (and probably elsewhere). It has been introduced into N. America. The closely related L. steveniana Pojark. in Caucasus, L. korolkovii Stapf in some of the C. Asiatic mountains and L. floribunda Boiss. & Buhse in the N. Iranian mountains are also mapped.
